Hey yall, i ordered 2 new K&N oil filters with some other stuff i needed from RockyMtATV, and they are about 1.5" shorter than they should be, my DS is a 01, i think these are for a diff year?? they say 01-02 on the box, anyone know for sure? they wont work will they? Anybody need two of the shorter ones, ill sell um for $5, for both, thats half price, anyway whats the deal with these short stubbies........

Yes the shorter oil filter are for the 2000 model year. I know beacause I used to run the shorter one on my 2000 and have since changed mine up too the 2001 style.

 

how did you change it?

 

Just get the 2001-or higher oil filter cover.
