Has anybody tried to replace thier bars with an aftermarket set without replaceing the clamp. Do they really hit the gas tank? What type of aftermarket bars have the same type of bend as my factory bars.
If needed where did you guys buy the aftermarket bar clamp and how much was it. Did you notice a big differance in comfort ect. after???

alba just came out with a new clamp not long ago, i'm pretty sure its $50

 

I just purchased the spacer block and Renthal bars from Alba Racing, they have the parts listed under the DS650 Items. You can also just buy the spacer block. I like the height gain and the Renthal bar look myself. RICH

I have alba's bar clamp with renthal atv race bars and it works pretty well. Does not hit the tank.

 

I use the renthal atv bend bars with the stock clamp, it works but does graze the tank a little.

 

I just recieved today from Trail Tech their 1 1/8" X Bar and there billet computer dash/bar clamp for my 02 Baja. I have not installed them yet,I'm just now beginning a winter build, but the quality is outstanding. It raise's the bar about an inch so i'm sure everything will clear just fine. Nice polished piece, bar too. Rich A

 

I have the trail tech bar mount, too.
CR double hi mount bars (tag) fit great.
Selling the computer mount and clamp soon, as the Roll Design stem should be here any day...
