More disks will make it a bit louder and give more top end. Less disks make it quieter and more bottem end. More disks = leaner condition and less disks = richer condition.
I have a Rappy and the Alba pipe, which I'm very happy with by the way. I added 6 disks for a total of 18 and it's not much louder than before and I didn't lose any bottom end that I noticed anyway. I run 22 discs on my Alba Pipe. ( When a spark arrester is needed). At Pismo I use the race tip, no rejetting is needed when switching between the two. Also depending on your elevation and your air filter set-up, make sure you jet up. If you are close to sea level try a 185 main with a K&N and the lid off with the needle on the bottom setting.
