you can make your own rather inexpensively. 6" c clamp and notched pipe or pvc. you need further info let me know.

glamis your little trick worked, now i have the springs off and installing the new base washers, do i leave the old one in and add the new ones, or do i take the old ones out, it looks like you need to leave the old ones in but not for sure,

if the spring kit had new washers(spacers) remove the old ones and just use the new ones.

i ran into an other problem, i was putting it all back together and a bolt broke, i got lucky thou, i was putting the cam carrier in a torquing them down and one of them snapped, but it broke off with a little above the head, and i was able to get it out, ill be ordering myself a set thursday

glamisds i was reading on your post that you made a compressor with a c-clamp and notched pipe. can you give me some more infor on this im in the process of removing my stock springs for new cams and dual rate springs. i have a 9" c-clamp already

Fourwheelphreek, you use the clamp with one side on the valve, the other side you want to use a piece of pvc or pipe with a cut-out on the side and clamp it down on the retainer. you use the access hole you drilled to remove the keepers once you remove the tension with the clamp. if you need a picture or need further explanation let me know.

p.s.use a cloth or something between clamp and valve so you don't mar the valve.

thanx for the quick reply i figured it out and i already finished replacing the valves, now its on to bigger and better things! (piston,cams)
