a guy up here got his 400ex frame chromed for a case of beer, but a buddy did it for him after hours at a local place

Default What is the frame made out of?

Well there's a couple of thing to think about, I had my stock front bumper chromed and I first had all the paint sandblasted off (you need somebody who knows what there doing for this so they won't leave a texture the chroming can't take care of). 2nd the frame will need some cleanup, it's welded with a Mig welder but there is still a little splatter here and there but more importantly at least one weld had a hole in it (incomplete) had my welder buddy used his Tig to cleanup, fill and flow that weld and smothe the other welds (some were kinda lumpy since it's machine welded at the factory) then it was ready for the chrome shop, I chose there mid level chrome job, I think I paid $30 complete ( I don't know anybody to do this [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] )
