Trinity Exhaust...

does anybody know if you are suppose to use any sealant between the head pipe and the mid pipe, and also any thing between the mid pipe and the exhaust can, I just received mine today and want to install it correctly, the only instructions were about jetting with the included 190 jet and air box lid removed, but damm that is one nice looking pipe, I don,t need a camping mirror anymore, maybe if I can't beat the competition I can blind them with the sun...hahaha anybody with any suggestions would be great.........thanks

whooooaaaahhhhh.......that thing kicks butt, it sounds like one of those damm blackhawks I used to jump out of in the 82 airborne, the pipe went on without a hitch, I used the 190 main jet they sent with it, I have checked the ratio at idle, mid throttle and wide open and all I needed was to open the air/fuel to 3 turns, runs perfect, no flat spots or hesitation,I putted around at low rpm's and checked the plug, it was light brown, hit the pasture at mid throttle for about 5 minutes, shut down and checked the plug, again light brown, same for WOT, the plug has perfet color at all rpm's.....Trinity is Biotch to nobody....the final stats on my bike are...Trinity pipe,190 main, pilot 45,needle position #4,gas screw 3 turns out(exactly),air box lid removed with stock filter,Ron Woods CDI,I also installed the stock tachometer and the Graydon nerfs....as for performance I have yet to get it in the sand, we are going to be at Florence this wknd, sat & sun, but is does roast the tires on pavement in third....I will let ya know after this wknd how it does in the sand......and thanks to Majorecho for advice on the install.

i have the same pipe for a month now but i have a problem with the jettings i install the 190 main that came with the pipe and the needle #4 and i think the pilote 40 with remove lid and 3 turns in air screw and it didn't work i feel only the power in the 1st and 2nd gears and from the 3th to 5th bad than the stock form i ride it in a sea level or less i ride it in wide open places so can you tell me what did you do with your atv and do you have any other mods.
P.S : im planing to install a 170 or 175 main jet with needle #4 and the 3 turns in air screw and the pilot 40 and i dont want to remove the lid .
can any one help me with that pls.. ?

my setup is listed on the previous post, I did notice that you said your carb had a 40 pilot jet, mine came with a 45, I don't know how much difference that would make, but it might be enough, have you checked you spark plugs?our setup looks to be about the same, the only diff I see is the pilto jet and maybe the woods CDI. I'm not sure why mine came with a 45 pilot? everybody else says that theirs came with a 40 pilot, maybe they ran out of the tha day mine was made....

went to the sand this wknd, I must say that I was pretty impressed with the performance gains from the pipe, the mid range torque is incredible and it revs to 8000+ quickly in 1st 2nd & 3rd, I raced a couple of friends on z400's on the flats, those z's are pretty quick, we were even through 2nd, and then gooobye, no chance past 3rd gear, it was kinda wet out so there was not many people there, no other DS's or Raptor's to race, slight edge over one stock Banshee up comp hill, all in all I was happy with results for all bolt on stuff.....Trinity Rocks!!!!!!!!
