Anyone have some good links to learn about quads? I know this is a good site but I want to learn specifics about engines (4 stroke mainly), suspension, jetting, maintenance, etc.

I'm not a complete mechanical newbie, but unless some great instructions come with the machine I won't know how to check/adjust the valves and things of that nature.

 

i would say to get a shop manual when you get your bike its about 70 bucks, it show how to do take it completly apart, and then how to put it back together, and if you ever need help just ask here on this forum and someone will help out if they know anything about it, i have gotten alot of help with putting in my piston and cams form guys on this forum

 

Another thought (that may be better for some people) is to get the shop manual on CD, it costs about the same amount.

I suppose most of you people with experience have gotten it on-hands....I was just hoping there was a website or something out there that would walk you through how an engine works, describes the parts, etc. thanks for the replies

 

you can order back magazines and read what they had to say, not that a lot of it is worth much! one did say to try a 17 front for trails and it was a o.k call. but some of it makes for a humurus read.
