rear shock
i replaced the stock rollers right away and have had my chain roller for over a year, like dsride said go with the chain, the ds is perfect for a 300 lb rider i see a lot of that. just tell the raptors that want to race to use two small riders then the race will be close to fair. sounds like your dealer might be trying to make some sells

Am I missing something here??
Fact; when the suspension compresses enough the chain comes in contact with the roller. nothing will change that, chain adjustment will help but 1/8" to 1/4" more preeplay is all you want to go. still not much help for a constant 300 lbs on the seat especially if he rides aggressivly.
Though the DS has a heavy spring and lots of adjustment, it is plenty taxed for an semi-agressive 270 pound rider. If you put a 300 pound rider on it, the suspension will compress enough for the chain to ride on the roller most of the time.
As long as I have been around motorcycles and quads, (20+years) the big guys always have to have their shocks set up special for their weight if they want proper handling suspension. This includes a stiffer spring.
TCS does good work as does Works and many others mentioned on this forum. With a little info from you they will set up your shock to your weight and riding style. Beleive me, you won't be sorry you did and the chain won't be hitting the roller most of the time.
