I hear all of ya Here is a little something I have done all possible with suspension...caster Rear tire height...etc My main question why should I have to continue dumping money in this bike? I allready bought one of the most pricey bikes for what to upgrade it BS. This is also such a heavy machine.. I feel like I get my *** kicked every time I ride it it was becoming a unfun to ride for me am was just not so happy with this anymore...I gave it credit where due,... don't bash for that.... Remember I owened one too.... If the predator fails I'll buy something else... I fell I needed a change and this looks like it was for me As for working on it If I had to retighten any more plastic body bolts or replace the chain roller once more, or looked at the bent steerting stem(from 1 roll over) or the fogged out head light or the front oil tank leaking or the cold start issues..... I would rather cut my wrist....We have owned other polaris machines and no real issues I have also owned other bomb stuff as well and no real issues ,so why will I be working on it??....I was just voicing what I did I am sure it will start a war I can attest that is not why I posted it... Why I posted it here I wanted to voice a real opinion on one of the machines that are out there from both sides I will bash trust me if the Polaris is bad I will post it's bads and goods I by the way DON't Put my tail between my legs for sh#t...esp for an arogant A@# like you I own a mechanical contracting corp in NJ we have plenty of tools they are still out from working on the bomb the night before I traded it so all the parts were tight! If you need to use them for that sh%t bucket half of a man size dakota truck stop by.. As far as the belt dude goes thanks for the info the wheel base gaskets are known to problems also Pease tell all!!!

 

sounds like you just wanted a new quad, they all take repairs , sounds like some lock tight and a credit card would have fixed your quad we all have those problems, ask my raptor friends. well enjoy the polaris it should be a nice quad until bomb brings the new lighter ds[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

For future reference if you have to retighting bolts use locktite! I agree with you though I am going to trade the DS in for a PW50, I crashed once and the twist throttle broke, Scratched my helmet to. LMAO

 

Hey give the guy a break. Although I wonder what his motivation was for posting this in this forum, If he is happy that is what counts.

My baja has had none of the problems associated with the previous models of DS. I rode a 00 and the handlling was very bad, but it was not setup for me either.

Anyway, if you are happy congrats.

The Predator doesn't have belt drive.

I wouldn't consider a machine thats lighter, faster and handles better a downgrade.

Damn that really stung! Hehe sounds like i spun you up a little roscoe, hey boytoy do me a favor, READ THE OWNERS MANUAL! I still have my original chain roller on my quad,"keep chain tension within specs and you would too" with a back up one in my toolbox just in case. You rolled the bike, no $hit stuffs gonna break like steering stems and that's prob why your headlight fogged up too.If you could not fix your other steering problems by reading info in this forum, it's safe to say your not the brightest star in the sky.Have fun on the pooper!!!

Listen, I own a Raptor and my buddy I ride with owns a DS650 Baja, and I think it's a badass bike. I have rode the DS.... you point and the damn think goes. I can honestly say that the bike isn't for me. But, that is my opinion. I feel from riding both the raptor and the DS with the same amount of mods not one bike is better than the other. Me and my buddy are very competitive people and we have never consistantly beat each other when we race. As for trail riding, they DS has gone off the trail when my buddy has lost control, and because of the width of the bike, the weight, and the long travel suspention he has walked a way smiling. The only injury was the hernia from trying to get it on all fours. I will tell you this, If the trail dump was me on the Raptor I would be typing from a straw in my mouth, mounted to my motorized wheelchair.
