You ever heard of an organization called the AHDRA? You should check it out. It will put you in a whole New state of mind about what a Harley can do at the Track.

I don't get the point of trying to compare Harleys to ,,,anything. They are what they are. Love 'em or leave 'em alone. I think sport bikes are every bit as cool, just in a different way. I think some of the Harley knock-offs are pretty cool. They are cheaper and yet built better, bang for the buck, generic value.
If you gotta have a genuine Harley, cool, get one. If you are okay with a less expensive wanna-be, that's cool too. What ever lights your flame...

Harleys are image intensive. It is a mystique. A life style. A generation.
.. One thing Harley has not done well is attract a younger audience. The gen Xers are not as attracted to Harleys as their Baby Boomer big brothers. Time will tell if Harleys are a "coming of (middle) age thing".

Cafe racers, sport bikes, crotch rockets, call them what you will, this is the road machine of the younger generation. European "bikers" have been riding them for decades. The performance and value is SOooo much better than a Harley, plus handling, reliability etc.
When I see a bunch of Harleys I think it is really cool, kinda like a parade of Antique cars....

 

I agree with you fourlix harleys are a lifestyle i have one that has been in my garage for years i refuse to run her untill the yuppies park theirs!!! and no they are no longer slow bikes they hold more speed records than any manufacture!! but the whole yuppie thing drives me up the wall i called the other day( because im cleaning her up a little) to choasa harley and while i was on hold this is what there hold message said
