Well, this post really got outta hand didnt it??

I for one am a harley fan. I love the machines. I have not owned one, because I am a perfectionist and decided to get what I really want I have to build it. I plan on doing so eventually. But I have put it on hold, as I have too many projects already. I am a street rodder also. I have a 31 model A and a 53 chevy which are both in the project stages. Very early stages, even though I have had them for awhile.

Most of my hobbies seem to have their fair share of yuppies, it really doesnt bother me. I figure if they enjoy it and respect it, then have fun....that is what it is all about anyway.

Well, I have too many projects and not enough money or time, and with a little bambino on the way it will mean less money and time, so the projects will sit a bit longer and all this banter will go on...........................

Bottom line enjoy the ride, whether it be on a harley, yamie, honda, polaris, etc, etc, etc.......

I think some of you boys don't realize what a VMAX is!!! It in NO WAY resembles a Harley or your "coventional" cruiser. Does the term POWER CRUISER mean anything to you???

As a Owner OF A MINT 83 V65 Magna, I know what the term "power cruiser" means. The Yamaha Vmax since its creation in 1985, has been the TOP DOG! in the "power cruiser" industry. YES!! It will go 140mph(stock), and YES!!, they are not for the light hearted.

As a matter of fact, I think it would be possible to wedge a Vmax motor in a DS!!!!!!!!!!he he he[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

It was a sweet heart my wife made me sell it i put it in the paper for 4000 2 different guy's showed up at the same time to look at it they were european buyers it turns out that in europe anything that looks like a harley is highly sought after and if i had the stock exhaust it was worth more!! guess what we had a auction right there i sold her with the stock exhaust for 7200 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] its also eaisier and cheaper to ship a used bike than a new one?? import taxes??

 

Did anyone notice that many of the DS guys on this thread seem to have inferiority complexes of a sort? (ie, "Mine is bigger than your's is, and I don't want to hear otherwise.")

Toyboy1 was merely stating an opinion, and everyone seems so eager to jump on him about it. I rather enjoyed his input.

I've ridden with a few DS's in the sand at Reedsport, OR. From all your boastings and confidence about the DS's performce, I'm guessing that the few DS riders I've gone out with must have been lacking in riding skill, as they were unable to get out of a few hill climbs (well, it took them a number of try's, anyway). At the time, I thought it to be rather weird that a bike of it's size (motor and otherwise) would be so incapable.

Oh, and I'll take on any one of you DS boys in the sand. You wanna talk about straight line speed? I'll introduce you to Quadzilla (Suzuki LT500). BO WA HA HA!!

This, of course, is all assuming that she's running [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]. She has "reliability" issues (but don't most women?). But I love her, anyway! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

PS that was a few years back i think europe has accepted the harley now they couldn't pass the emissions and noise laws GO FIGURE !
