Default Oil Plug

Well I decided that I would like to put my oil Temperature sensor in the oil drain plug in the motor. My question is the sensor stick out about 3/8 of an inch past the nut up into the motor. Everything goes in fine, but I am afraid to crank it over for fear of it hitting something. Doe's anybody know how far up it can protrude and not be any problem. Thanks,

Thanks, Eagle, I will check out the site. As for the wiring yes I did get it worked out, so I just have to stop and get a plug for the T-I put in the oil return line and all should be ready. By the way the gauges look great with a blac background with red lights, I will get pics as soon as everything is complete.
