Best slip-on for the money?
I was looking at the MBRP today and it sounds great and it looks pretty good. I am however skeptical about the performance right now. Everyone says that is awesome for low end and mid range but kill there top end! Well top end and midrange is where you need it for hill shooting and drag racing! especially if you have larger valve configurartions!. YOu nee the pipe to be able to scavenge and that big thing they have in there looks a little to resrtictive to me. Also I didn't see any kind of Spark arrestor on it. And everyone knows you need it here in California! I would like some hard proof on the numbers here. I may have to buy an new slip-on, I did a little damage to my pipe. I suggest anyone buying or running the HMF pipes don't connect the middle of the pipe to the frame., just connect the back to the Bar. My pipe broke a hole clean out where it connects to the frame at the middle of the pipe. I think it can be fixed though. And how about Procircuit?! Totally ripping off HMF's Design!! They are virtually identical pipes! Also MBRP rep why is the collector pipe into the can so small? It looks like you could have used the same size collector as the HMF or Procircuit which is huge! and Flows very well. It looks to me that you guy's did it to get that infamous Low end everyone is talking about?! Well if you opened that up a little you could probably get a little of that hig end back. Anyway my 2 cents. Thanks.

I really like my Yoshimura. Too bad there is no pipe shootout info using the same bike on the same dyno with all the different pipes.
It was best performance pipe in 400EX pipe shootout, it had highest hp, best power curve, and lowest dB.
Out of 12 pipes it was 3rd from top in hp production for Raptor, beaten only by a couple ponies, but still had the smoothest power curve and lowest dB. Something to consider if you ride in sound regulated areas like Silver Lake, MI.
100% stainless, pipe and muffler, and very light.
$289 from Denton is what I paid.
