Default Timberwolf Electrical Power Issues

Hey guys I'm new to this site....I'm having trouble with a 95 timberwolf 250 4x4...it was running fine sitting there idling and just shut off...I'm getting no lights from neutral light or head lights...lock the brake and will not do anything. So I pulled the switch and checked power from the battery and have 12.75 volts coming in on the red wire.
But when I check the wires from the battery to the 4 pin switch connector from the negative side of battery to the black wire pin i have nothing..The red reads 0.0 the brown and black with a white stripe read nothing.
When I test from the positive side of the battery I get 0.9 on the red pin ..the black and brown the meter jumps around from like 4 to 9...the black/white wire i have nothing.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this?
Thanks and God Bless

Not sure I am following your tests but if the neg side is dead, check the earths. All of them, battery neg post first, then the connectors onto frame and engine. Don't assume a tight connection is OK, unscrew, clean and refit, to ensure good earths.

Thank you Merryman for the advice...I'm going to start checking all grounds this weekend..
Whats got me puzzled is hooking a test meter to the negative battery and checking for voltage at the connector for the power switch...I'm getting power on the red at 12 volts but I'm also getting 9-10 volts on the brown wire and the solid black ( black should be ground wire) So makes me feel something went bad or shorted out causing power to be on the black wire and brown wire. Thanks

A fuse would blow if many amps were behind that pos reading on the neg wire but it does indicate that the your meter has become the negative connection to the black, rather than the earth system of the bike.

Thank you Merryman for your help. You was spot on with the grounds on the machine.
Started checking grounds and found one that looked good but wasn't testing good so replaced the wire and power to everything like it should be.
Thanks again and God Bless
