Would like some REAL comments on how well the vico system works?? Would one front actually pull you out if it was the only tire with traction?? I know it is better than a limited slip system ( actually should be called UNLIMITED slip ) that doesn't work but how close is it to a locker?

The visco lok system is very unique. The idea of having a progressively engaging and dis-engaging is the best. With the visco, obviously in situations where one front tire is in the air you have the biggest advantage, but also with the progressively engaging system, when there is limited traction, you are not on and off like a limited slip system, the system is always working progressively engaging and dis-engaging based on the wheel speed difference, not torque load like a limited slip. And as far as reliability it truly is exceptional, the system is so simple and all contained in the differential housing. Automotive has seen the benefits to this style of system, and are installing the concept on various vehicles, including Jeep Grand Cherokee and Pontiac. Now on their side, they are using many external components to get the job done.
In a nut shell, this 4 x 4 system is the best, hands down. Simple, light and bullet proof. And on the outlander, you can disengage it for playing. All of this is of course my opinion.
