Default My Glamis FSWII thoughts; Kinda long

I'm only going to post once, there is way to many post out there to put my .02 in all of them.

Awesome weekend, a lot of fun and great people always willing to help at anytime. A lot of beer drinking, b.s.ing, riding, racing, wrenching, all around fun!!!!!!!!!! BLM made things a little confusing but it was all in fun.

There was some people there that were way to serious and winey. Took there trophies and ran and wouldn't exept a challenge after the fact even though it didn't mean anything. Oh well. I was there for fun and fun I had. I must have ran that hill about 50-60 times just on Sunday. I can't even walk right now.

King did a great job, like I said a little confusing but with that many people and the BLM there it was next to imposible to get any better. Camp area was a little far away but was cool, it was fun cruising the golf cart around meeting everyone. I wish I could have met more people but I couldn't even remember names after Friday. I loaded up the cart with beer and cruised around there is still beer all over the cart that I need to wash off.

As far as the race goes, I DO NOT AGREE with letting little kids ride bikes that they could kill themselves on. I saw that kid go up the hill a couple times and almost go over the handle bars, all I saw was the bottom of his feet, then he almost took someone else with him. Congrats to Sparks they did what it took even though they didn't run the prelims... The classes were hard to figure out, I ran the hill, beat my group and then lost the rest of the bolt on. People kept telling me to just keep running the hill and figure it out later. Well by that time the final were all set????????? Confusing. I will give it up to Jiminok, he gave me a shot to take his spot in the finals, we ran the hill were I got him by about 3-4 bikes, we ran a second time where he got me by 3-4 and then the tie breaker he got me by 1. He didn't have to do that but did anyway and he made a good showing in the finals. Congrats. I was a little disappointed with the open finals and the lack of participation. I just think that all bikes should have had to run all rounds instead of getting a by to the finals, I don't blame the people that ran all day and then didn't think it was fair to let people just show up for the finals. I guess you'll just have to wait for the video.

The fast bikes were ( and don't get mad if I don't mention you there were too many)

Sparks Raptor
Jeff
AzSand
Sparks 465
Air Raptor
King

I didn't get to see Gary from TVI or Major or anyone else run because I was busy racing not watching. Sorry.

The dyno was awesome part of the weekend, I give a big thanks to Ohton, that was one of the coolest things I've seen. They were getting drunk and running bikes, it was like a little night club around the dyno with the people, music, drinks, and bikes...

My bike ran 49.66 on the dyno and 44 mph up the hill. Not bad for a stage 1 ds. I'll post the dyno run later.

Someone said that a Z400 wasn't what is is made out to be... My buddies Z with a yoshi pipe and jets and airbox mods ran a 25hp on the dyno. The next day I raced his bike against a 400ex with a 60lbs less rider with pipe, cdi, airbox, jetting, and I beat him every time. The Z was bouncing off the rev limiter and was still able to beat him. The Z pulls very hard at the top of the hill..

I can't express enough how the people from this board are so cool. I met a lot of people and all are top notch. It was a blast, wish I could have met more. Maybe next year.

And my last comment, if someone doesn't have the ***** to ride a fast bike, don't build it. Spend the money on basket weaving classes.

Km, I guess you were camped right in front of us, but I never made it over to meet you. The weekend was fun for sure. I think we should have had some kind of organized meet and drink, uh I mean meet and greet.

Anyhow, I had the tan F350 with the 28 foot desert fox camped by you. Major was with me. Sure was fun seeing glamis.

Yeah I'm sorry about that Bat, Major came over on Sat and introduced himself. I totally forgot that you guys road together. That's my biggest regret of the weekend, not getting around to everyone. Although I think that woulda been impossible. I spent most of my time at the dyno, camp drinking, or at the hill........

Next year I will make it a point to meet and greet a lot more. It was kinda hard with the kids there too.

My son was the one on the black yerf dog 90 tearing a$$ through everyones camp.....

Sorry about that guys. I tried to stop him.....

Km, I also regret not getting around and meeting more of everyone. I met a lot of people this weekend and it was a blast.

When I woke up on Saturday morning the camp had totally grown. Probably doubled in size overnight and it became apparent that I was not going to meet everyone. Had a lot of fun riding and seeing old friends and making new ones.

The comraderie was great to see, while I did not personally need anything, guys with broke down quads could pretty much get them back up and running out in the middle of the desert. It was great to see and hear the stories of genorisity.

Truly and incredible experince to say the least. Remember that marketing saying , "You meet the best people on a Honda" Well, it's now. You meet the best people at FSW's period. Alls i can say is THANK YOU! and If you couldn't make it this time. Do your very best to make the next one. You owe it to yourself to experience FSW's and the great people.
