Bad connection?
Had problems starting the baja a few months back , after sitting for 2-3 days the battery was dead.Dealer replaced the battery but it still did the same thing. A few weeks back the red light (oil?) came on but it was just dim. Was about an hour from home so we headed back , hit an icy spot on the way and the rear of the bike gave a twitch and off went the light .Ever since the bike has run and started perfect even in the severly cold temperatures we're having .It can sit for a week and still start on first try.The light hasn't came on since.Could there have been a loose connection that might have "reconnected" .Don't know much about fixing them but should I look for a loose wire or something and maybe where? Thanks!

Bad connection?
MY 02' DS has the same problem,I checked for current drain with a meter and could not find any, also the dealer could not find the source of the short, they gave me a new battery and I installed a car stereo 100 amp circuit breaker between the positive batt terminal and the solenoid, now I just disconnect the battery when I done riding with the flip of a switch, have not had a dead battery since.....a simple $30 fix......the last thing ya need is a dead battery on a 500 lb quad with no back-up starter
