i just got done w/ my first oil change and choose to go w/ quaker state peak performance 10w-40 motor oil. I chosed this because the only four stroke oil autozone had were synthetic blends. Should I be worried about using this oil? I also changed the oil filter.

25% synthetic and 75% 10w40 whatever dino oil you like as long as no fiction modifiers. Pour it in the special Chetblendall to mix and into the machine.
My stock 01 Raptor stays slick inside.
I love clean ChetRacer oil.

i did alot of reaserch on oil about a year ago for some various reasons but learned alot. Before that i had been a Die Hard fan of Castrol GtX, which is almost as good as any,....... the only company that was always better in the tests was Quaker state, and special brands of Valvoline race oils such as there VR1 series......... Anyway Quaker state is as good as it gets in dino oil so your set, you could run that stuff in almost any conditions and be great, if your runnin in more that an average temp of 90 degrees id go to 20w-50. Just make sure you change the stuff out about after 10 rides or 6 months, now if you want to go synthetic AMSOIL is the best product out their, the mix of additives they use including the highest amounts of zinc produce amazing results...... stick with their motorcycle specific lines to avoil friction modifiers. That is what i run, puts almost zero wear on your engine.........
bottom line is quaker state is a good choice, run ' er hard

Been using Quakerstate for over a year now. No complaints here. I change my oil after 3 weekend rides though. May seem like thats to often. But the oil is considerably darker than it was when it went in. I do the oil filter every other oil change.
