barnett clutch problems
I have the hot set up!
1. Go to your dealer and order 1 additional steel plate. Add the steel plate to the clutch pack. (Remove the complete pack from the basket, install the new plate first and then reinstall the pack as it came out. From the back of the clutch basket forward you will have “steel, steel, fiber and so on.)
2. Install a good set of clutch springs. (Quad Centrial Two in Las Vegas caries a German made spring that works great.)
3. Go Riding!!
I was told this by the owner of Quad Central, who has run this same set up in the Best of the Desert race series.
I did it to mine a few weeks ago and love it. The take off has bite with out being harsh and you can still work the clutch in slow technical areas.
I am going to Glamis in a few weeks; I’ll give you the dune test report when I get back
Give it a try and let me know.

barnett clutch problems
I started having barnett carbon fiber (9 disc) slippage using PAMI springs and synthetic oil w/o friction modifiers.
I just put in new stock friction plates, added an extra steel plate, went off synthetic oil. After a few drag races on Sunday I didn't notice any slippage at low boost and oil didn't heat up from clutch. I may try this with the barnett carbon fiber plates.
