Default 03 DS50 Baha - On The Trails?

TheOz, what is your sales tax rate in Michigan? Here in Southern California I worked up a smokin' deal on a 2003 DS650 Baja. I paid $6900 out the door - taxes, freight all fees aside from financing included. This works out the the ATV price being $6300. If you can get yours for anywhere near $7000 OTD that is an excellent price. You should EASILY be able to get it out the door for $7199 - everyone knows the dealer is making over 10% markup so it's in your best interest to pay the MSRP as an out the door price at most.

For reference, there is a dealer in Hollywood, CA that wont sell a DS650 Baja for less than $8000 OTD, now that is some serious markup. The weird thing is that he sells quite a few DS650s even for that price, my only asumption must be that there are too many people in Hollywood with too much money and they don't care to look for any kind of deal.

I got mine at Bert's in Covina for $6800 OTD. They will always want to give you the full retail price first (which is around $8000 OTD). I simply told him that I wouldn't pay that. He asked me how much I would pay, I told him $6800 OTD, he didn't even bat an eye.

You should be able to to get any reputable dealer down to $7000 OTD or less.

Bert's wouldn't come down to anything even close to that on a 2003 for me. They would go to $6700 on an 2002, and all they wanted to do was sell me a 2002, not even bother with the 2003. I don't think I'll ever go back there after driving all the way over there from Santa Clarita only to bicker about an ATV from the wrong year.

What the heck trails are you ridding on?? Mine fits everywhere that I am SUPPOSED to be.... I have gone on VERY hard trails that I never got out of 1st gear due to constant turning and climbing rocks... The DS is EXTREAMLY well built, it's got tons of power and its feels good to ride.. It is larger then other sport quads but I have not had any troubles with it due to size. Its the MOST stable quad and you should never feel unstable or have to go slow due to its size. Get used to any quad you get and you should be just fine.. I love the DS and if your over 200lbs its a good choice

I bought the first 2003 ds baja they got in, they didn't have any 2002's left when I went in.
