I have the FMF pipe. I noticed that YES it made a differance. Mid range was mutch better. The tapper on the dyno jet is worth it.. Its not WOW but you can deffinately tell the differance. your running a 180 mitkuni? that sounds really rich...

If it runs good now I wouldn't mess with it.
The best thing about the Dynojet kit is that you know they did their homework. So you will be really close to what you need if you follow their directions.......in other words it takes all the guess work out.
As far as the difference from stock to DJ needle, I think DJ's is a bit longer. I'm not possitive about that though.
The Trinity site has a really good jetting guide in the tech link. But I can't rerember if they had info for he DS.

If you have no gripes at all about your performance then you ned not buy it, but if you did you would see the difference. Yes, the needle is longer, and the taper is quite a bit different giving the midrange much better response. My bike would occasionally give a stuttering cough if I hammered the throttle riding out of a turn uphill under hard load. Its like there was this little spot where it was just too rich, and no amount of needle position adjusitng could tame it, so I got the Dynojet and couldn't be happier.
My main jet is a DYnojet 200 - if memory serves me right its about like a Mikuni 187.5. Yoshi's flow, and I think some DS heads just flow a little better than others too. I'm also lidless.
