Default HEADLIGHT RECALL

Is it just me or is anyone else having problems with there stock headlight cracking on the adjuster tab? I have gone thru two of them and I don't ride but 5 to 6 times a year in the dunes.

I broke the light on my 2001 DS, I think I'll just try that new light setup on my Baja when it comes out then I can put the original light from my Baja on the 2001, then I've got my bike lightened & the other one fixed. I also heard about a new HID kit coming out that is supposed to be rather inexpensive. The cheapest thing I've seen thus far is $399.99 so if they got a kit down to $199.99 that would be pretty affordable.

I broke my light when my head (helmet) hit it though, not due to fatigue.

i'm sorry but how much does our headlight weigh? it can't be that much. i think getting a lighter oil tank would a long way to save weight.

I run the 100w extreem white. And I haven't had any prob with melting yet. I've been using it now for a couple months. I added the trail tech 55w floods to come on with the high beem head lamp about 2 weeks ago. They are killer bright. Only 44 bucks each too. As bright as these are you could remove the head light if ya wanted to.
