sandman, was that dyno on the nos 760, or the other 760? I am just curious, I could believe it with the nos.

Thank for a little imput guys. I really Have to agree with Jeffoe on this one. Horsepower is great for topend speed but, torque is what gets you move and accerlerates the bike. I looking to maybe spend 4 grand on some upgrades. So I guess I will stick to my same combo plan.

The 760 Gary had at 4SW's had NOs on it (I think that is what caused his little fire incident - NOs jets came loose.)

 

no it sounds like 100 hp for $8k. race head 760 w/labor about $5k

 

He had one with nos, and one without nos, and then a 650 with race head and he would not tell us what else.

I rode the non nos bike, ran real good, put a smile on my face, but I dont think it was 100 hp.

I believe what caused the fire was the fuel solenoid loosing ground to the frame, and hence no extra fuel and alot of nitrous.

He told me a 760 with the race head, would be in the 6500 ballpark, and would go up depending on what all I wanted. Pretty much out of my price range for the time being.

i raced gary's 760(the one without NOS) up the hill at 4SW's. it ran like the other 760's i have raced. dynoes are different so it doesn't really matter what kind of power they make on one dyno. look at what HP percent you get out of the motor. the gains you get from the 760. if the 760 dynoed 104HP the a stock one on that dyno could get 80's(example). everyone should get the same gains from that motor.


i do not build a motor for torque and my bikes doesn't have alot of it. but anyone that ahs raced me can tell you that i get gone VERY QUICK. i have never been hole shoted yet by a 4stroke.
