What does a 760 race motor run with the works except exhaust. Is 104 horsepower real

 

no i would say on a basic around 60-65 would be close without race head and on gas.

I don't know what everyone is charging for the 760 kit, but I would say around 5 grand...and that is just for the base level.

I'm not trying to bash anyone but I talked to TVI and explained that I racecross country and was in search of the most horsepower I could get. So he (Gary) asked where are you from. I TOld him Alabama. Then he replied with go with a full race 760 with a race head. This set up with give you 104 hp to the rear wheels. Can ship in 2 weeks and for the low low price of 8200.00 and this price don't include exhaust. This guy is nuts. I just got my raptor back from curtis sparks with a trail port and twin 35 FCR, 12.5 piston,cams. etc for 2800.00 and this bike really dynoed and honest 68hp and is so smooth that it aint funny. She is really running hard but handle like SH*t. I only paid 6500 for the dam bike and is going to put 8200 in it for a trail motor with 104hp. Lets keep it real people in the Dirty south build and buy just a much horsepower as anyone else. I feel we should be treated with a little more respect than to be given numbers like that. If that was just a trail kit making double the horspower I would be chinken to ride it. Not. I just figured I would let someone build me a competitive motor instead of trial an error wasting money. 104 horspower for the cost of a 650 hp big block cheavy. Send me some of that west coast green cause I wanna smoke too.

 

Well I have yet to see a Natually aspirated single four stroke Dyno 104 hp!! And if I was gary at TVI I would be careful with that type of advertisment. But hey its not my company.

I do agree that thier sometimes is a LACK of respect coming from the West, when it comes to who's fast. But thats whats good about having events like FSW's and DS days,and Snake Hunt, cause it gives the people a chance to see what every has from ALL over. And I believe it lays to rest what doubts thier might have been about Who's fast, and who THINKS their fast!

And in the end RESPECT is what everyone wants.

i all ready had the rwr race head when i put on the the rest of the 760 pami motor. so all i had to buy was the jug,piston, and some crank stuff. parts for the lower were $2500 and 500-700 labor. race head will run about another $1500-2000 aprx. i did it the hard way mis matching the two kits, but about $5000 will do it. pami rates there kit @ 77 hp. now i don't know if thats rear wheel or not but thats there rating. mine did'nt dyno that high because i still have smaller A1 cams (and the head gasket was leaking at the time of dyno) but man the torque this things builds. you know no body talks about the torque? why is that, its what pushes these monsters out of the hole and plants you firm in the seat. all hp is fine if you don't have to accelerate and stay in the high r's but whats going to pull you thru the woods and up the hills?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

104 hp, wow, and for only 8200, wow.

Did he mention a turbo, or nos, that seems really high.

Maybe with nos and all the bells and whistles it would do that, but not natures way.

Gary seemed like a real straight shooter to me, and a no bs kind of guy, I just think maybe something was not said, or missed.

Just my thoughts. I think a base 760 without all the bells and whistles is around the 65 mark, and with the head and stuff, probably could push upper 70's.

gary told me his 760 he brought to fsw was dyno'd at 104, he has put a lot into it and still it had a problem. he has a nice race head and he is run different pistons, oh well i think gary could give him a 104 hp machine for $8200, if the base 760 is 5g the race head he has is $1800-2200 so maybe there was other stuff in there. gary is putting a package together on the 680 side that would be more in the range of what your raptor is. gary is a nice guy but those 760's come from germany, so i'm sure they don't give them away. and us west coast guys know about as much speed stuff as the rest the internet made it a even playing field marketing took care of the rest. but since most of the good riders come out of the middle we must be spending to much time watching the sunset on the ocean[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] gary will give as good a deal as i've found,

 

That 104 seems about 30hp high. Very few quads can get into the 70's. Even 60 is hard to reach
