i talked to robertson cycle last week, he was doing a bunch of dyno work on a ds. he told me all the different tricks he was tring but he could not believe what happened when he installed 2 different box's. both from the same aftermarket supplier ( i wont say which one ) and there was a 5hp difference, same exact box, same manufactor!! don't mean to mess you up any further but i thought it was interesting!!! i have a graydon box now, also had a ron wood box, ran the same with either

I agree with JeffRoe , I met a guy who had a RW CDI at the weekend , he said he saw no increase at all , so we put it on the dyno and no change to power , did however let it rev past 7500rpm .

So then we put my Graydon CDI on it and it showed a 5.4 HP increase and he noticed the curve was considerably stronger .

So now im telling everybody who has complained that the RW dosn't do anything to try a Graydon.

Seems to be an issue with the RW possibly ?????

Cheers

I talked to a guy earlier today that tested two of our boxes, and he said one performed better than the other. He's sending the poor performer back to exchange. No charge.

Our ignition amplifier box is a Rotax race part, made by Nippondenso. We do not modify these boxes in any way.

Wouldn't say that , more that i think people need to be aware that all have faults , personally i am more comfortable having one with a Higheer limiter than NO limiter

If you can hang on about a week to only CDI to get will be the programmmable system from vortexcdi it will have up to ten different maps and when you order it just tell them where you want the rev limit set.

www.vortexcdi.com

Although there is not much about it on their website yet you will get a pretty good idea of what it will be like I spoke to Richard last week and he told me that they have been working on the DS cdi for a few months now and it now due for release . Just think you can select up to ten curves to suit your riding, all with either the same or different rev limits.
