What kind of throttle kit did you order & how much was it? Does stock throttle cable work with this carb? I'm trying to decide between the Lectron & Mikuni 45.

It's not the cable that you have to worry about. Your stock throttle was built to open a 42mm carb. You'll need to either modify your throttle or buy a new one. Terrycable has some that work well with the lectron but there about $125. That's why I went with the twist

The stock will open the 45 but not the lectron. My stock only would open a 40mm about 3/4 of the way.

Sooner budy what's there to decide if you have the cash flow there is no comparesion the mikuni45 is heads up the winner if your running gas. And the lectron if you choose alcahol !!!!! And go twist once you twist it you will never thumb'it again !!!!

I just don't want get get one, take the time to get it set up, and wish that I'd gotten the other. I'm also looking for ease. I want to keep the thumb throttle. I've ridden plenty of bikes and don't mind twist at all, but I just prefer thumb for the type of riding that I do. I don't have any immediate plans on going with alky, well for my quad anyways.

I also want to drink 16 oz. of castor oil and go bungee jumping.

I heard that the Lectron is harder to tune so I would go witht the tm45.... The only thing I don't like about my carb is the throttle is so stiff you can't get that response that you would get from the stock throttle.... anyone know how I can fix this a friend recommend cable lube or something like that does that work?? Thanks

KM Duner pointed me to a place that makes billet thumb throttles. They're kinda pricey, but could solve your problem. You might check with them. Text

Here is another, adjustable throttle.Text
