If you do decide that you want to change the fan out, I got a direct replacement from www.offroadwarehouse.com for around $90 and that included the freight. The Bomb dealer wanted around $180. It is the same brand,
Spal, and even has the right wiring connector on it. Part # 30100533 It is not rubber mounted but the one that bolts into the supports. I have bought the inline cooler and also Engine Ice. I am fixing to change out my clutch springs so I am going to put it in all at the same time. I am also going to Honda HP4 oil, forum members are high on it and say it is real good for the clutch plates. You can read about Engine Ice at EngineIce.com

i personally like to keep the fan, i run in TX dunes in the summer as much as i can and see as hot as 115 degrees. Anyway i went through 3 fans in 4 sand dune trips, now on my third fan i put rubber between the fan and the mount(i cut up an old hand grip), put the rubber at all the mounts and ever since my fan has worked for about 10 months now, i think it is on the verge of going out soon though cause its eaten alot of sand, anyway just some ideas

Yup Offroadwearhouse is the place. I am on my 4th fan now. I tried the rubber trick jetjock did. and it did last longer. But not for 10 months Maybe i shoud have used Renthal instead of scotts
