My riding buddy has an 01 DS650. He wants to get the baja tach for it but the dealer says it is on backorder. Is there any other tachs that will work for it? Will automobile tachs at autozone work? Who makes the baja tach? It looks a lot like an autometer[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] Will the autometer tack work? What size is the baja tach? Sorry for all the questions. BigBadScrambler, i just got mine from my dealer today, i have yet to find any other tachs the will work that is cheaper then the one from bombardier at $150US,no automobile tachs will not work, i've tried it, the reason it looks alot like a autometer tach is because it is, i think they make them, ship them to bombardier and they do something to it so it'll work with the ds, i emailed autometer awhile back and they said they don't even make a tach to work on single cylinder applications, bombardier says the tach is 4" but it is really only a 3 3/4", i'll have mine put it by tomorrow and i'll get some pictures of it beside my autometer temp guage

 

The Ron Woods tach and the bomb tach that I found were $225 US. How did you find it for $150? I am just trying to find him one for a little cheaper. If it is an autometer tach, cant you set it for a differnt setting so that it will work? How many pulses per revolution does the DS have? Thanks

 

BigBadScrambler, bomb just changed the price on them lately, you might just want to call your dealer and check the price, i know that i just paid $199.99CA plus tax here, is there any other dealers that you can try 2 see if they're on backorder there too, it only took my dealer like 2 days to get mine
