I was wondering if anybody has installed a DG exhaust system on their DS and what they think? I was on the Dennis Kirk website and seen this exhaust system for under 3 bills (Xccelerator Stage 3 System) But it says that it is expected soon. Has anybody installed a xccelerator pipe on any bike?

 

Never buy anything from DG. It is all crap. Their nerf bars and brush guards are very poorly built. My friend ordered DG bars for his 400ex and the welding was broken by the time the shipment arrived. I dont know about their 4 stroke exhaust, but when I had a scrambler I had people tell me don't use DG because it actually is worse than the stock pipe. I rode a Banshee with DG silencers and I felt no power difference, and it made a lot of annoying noise. You can do want you want, but I suggest spending a little extra and get a Big Gun or White Brother's exhaust, there is a reason why DG is less expensive.

 

Does the big gun exhaust make a headpipe for the ds? Whats the cheapest you've seen that system?

If you want to spend a little less and get a good system the HMF exhaust is probably the way to go. It retails for $189. If I recall correctly, for $189, you get your choice of colors even! My E-Series set me back $289 it is very nice as well. My next exhaust is going to be an MBRP since they have a really nice looking package and their exhausts have a slightly better handle on the noise than some others.

The Alba kits have good power, however my friend has an Alba pipe on his Raptor (purchased new in January of 2001 with exhaust on it) and within six months it was starting to rust. I don't know if they have fixed the rusting problem yet, however spending several hundred dollars on an exhaust only to have it rust would make me nuts.

For $100 I think you did damn well! Congratulations on the deal. So it DID have rust on it when you got it huh? How long did it take you to remove it with the SOS pad?

 

So does everybody agree that DG products suck. I am only interested in the stage 3 xcellerator exhaust? If any body has any info on it or input feel free please

 

I don't know about the dg but i did just install a alba kit on one of my bikes and it dose seem nice and it was only 439.00 to my door for a complete system including k&n filter outer wear and jet kit WOW thats a good deal and it looks and sound good power is likeable at this point i will test her tommorow [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

Did you get the stage 3 kit AZ? I would like to know how that works out because I'm liking that price also? I would like to know how loud also?
