just got home from a good spring break with the kids. now for the dale it was the fastest running dale that i have come across, so i'm on my wifes ds and i'm on the line and this guy comes up and starts with the rolling start, well i thought i would be able to chase him down, but the hill just wasn't long enough. so i figure owell i'll have another go(can't shift hers well) well kind of the same no full stop just a roll and go. so having enough of this i give my wife her quad, she proceeds to fight it out with the guy almost to a dead even this was all cool but the guy had to be the biggest punk that i have ever seen at the dunes, he would wave if he was ahead, and if he lost he would come over and point you out and want another run. all cool but just the way he went about it, so i got on my quad, and i gave him another, roll start this time i did chase him down well he went thru his point routine, so haveing his # i let him lead to the start, and oh yes he got the wave this time and every time after everyone at comp was clapping and cheering the ds. i couldn't believe the guy it was the best running dale i've ever run across, but he really ruined the excitement of the bike. oh and of course he was all stock. as we were leaving he wants a rematch for money, so i was game my wife will hold the money. i'm sure i'll hear on that one. oh at night i managed to win with my wifes ds. she said i couldn't ride it anymore if i embarassed her machine any more.

 

similar story here, every time ive gone to the dunes soo far (about 35 times) i have been soooooo impressed by the friendly'ness of everyone, i make dunebuddies who later on down the road i shoot emails to meet up again, its always a great time......But this weekend the first place we parked(we later moved) as soon as my bike rolled out of the trailer the freak rednecks beside us were like ohhh you gotta race our new Raptor, they came over and started talking about arranging a drag race right away and i hadnt even got my wifes bike out or any of our gear setup... anyway they were as annoyin as hell and i told them "maybe later".. Anyway i was tryin out a differnt Carb mount filter and i had to play with jetting right off the bat and as i was working on my bike they kept coming over, i got to the point i thought i was going to start being rude. Anway towards the end of the day i dragged them cause they asked soo much... we dragged twice, and both times i got out in front till wide open third then he slowly started walkin away after that........ I know why i run a 15tooth up front ant 20" 8 paddles on back... That is not a drag setup it is for playin in the dunes and beeing able to pull third gear wheelies, Soo anyway i dont normallly race cause im not setup for it.... but i let this schmuck with his 2003 raptor with pipe,filter jets, who knows what else... think he was faster than the DS, i didnt say nothing but "thats a fast Raptor" cause anything i would have said would of just had them coming back for more if i didnt letum think they were just plan fast.......... I know if i woulda put the 16 tooth back on the front i would of smoked him all day. ,, by the way we moved to a diff campin spot and met some awsome people who we parted with all night!!

our guy was probably just confused i told him he should just enjoy his quad it was a great showing for his dale after about 15 loses he had to go and get his buddies banshee, so i let him have a few more on that too, it was rather fun from my view point but the girls riding with us wanted to see the guy get beat up he wasn't opposed to banging quads to try and get the win and i don't think they liked that to much[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

Sandman, the guy really is someone that would go out of his way to help out a fellow ATV'er in need, he just gets out of control when he straps on his dale (lemondale, that is) and doesn't realize what he's doing. (you know that feel when you rev it up and pop the clutch) He hates being beat and he won’t give up. You laid it into to a deserving victim, however, and the wave was a nice touch.
Look at it from his point of view, after all if Bombardier filed chapter 11 and left our guy's stranded without parts or service how would we feel. This guy has had to replace three cracked blocks in one year, a cracked frame, two batteries (it’s been a Love/Hate relationship) The bike is fast and he knows how to ride, but it’s not a BOMB![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

tell him to sell the dale, get rid of the hate part. then buy a bomb, join this forum start to mod then he would feel the joy. and we could all cheer for him when he whips a bunch of other quads[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] that is the fastest dale that i've ever seen, and wish he would have been a little easier to share that with. let me know when you guys go again, i'll bring some raptor friends they would like him.

HAHAHA......LEMONDALE....PARTDALE....Whatevers your flavor. POS is what I call it, well maybe not a POS but a little out of its league. I always see the guys on the dales racing around and trying to show off. I just roll up on my DS and everyone starts EYEFLUCKING me. And my DS is almost stock. I know your feeling dude.
