Default How can a stock DS jump??

I built a 12 by 6 ramp that I have cleared 50' plus gap's, and never bent my axle when my raptors bent. It took a 30' hill with a 6 foot lip to bend it. I launched off the top to high and couldent pitch the front down and came down straight on my left rear tire after i bailed. the suspetion was use less the way it came down. let me put it this way I hit a 30' double and over shot by 15' flat landing i was about 15- 18 feet in the air to my bottom wheels, me and the bike were fine. ps all stock suspetion.

They make after market billet foot guards to replace the plastic, saw them at temecula motorsports if your in california, a little pricey but they work. PS: about jumping, I don't buy the axel, pretzel syndrom AT ALL!!!

Is the rev-box worth the cash, I have the ds650baja w/a big gun pipe and header, I love it, but I feel like it has a lot more.

Well you have to wait 'till late at night, sneak up on it and scream real loud.
J/K - They jump great. I'm not hitting any 80' doubles by any means, but they are good jumpers. They just eat the landings up and ask for more.

It's possible to bend anything jumping.
.190 -- Red Label -- is as thick as they go. It's the same thickness the wheels on my sandrail were, so they should be enough for a DS under normal use.

I have only seen 1 at the mx track and was pretty impresed how it soaked up the jumps. Also 190's will bend thats the ones that came on my speed and they didn't last long at all.Check out the new ITP race wheels with rolled reinforcing rings.I got a set and they are sweet!

Nice, what thickness wheels come on the 2000 DS 650s anyway??

Sorry, I don't intend on wasting 500$ for just wheels.

I want cheap, strong wheels that won't bend on normal jumping.
