Default How do I jet dual 39's

KM, I believe I am at one clip down from the center on those needles.

I will definitly let you know tommorrow or maybe even tonight.

I don't exactly what's wrong with the 703 yet.

I was running great last week and on one run up the hill, I just lost all my power.

I limped it back to camp let it cool, started up and heard some LOUD knocking on the bottom.

I'm in no hurry to tear it open yet.

If it's not bad, I will rebuild it along with some porting and a swingarm.

If it's as bad as last time I will probably part it out!

KM, since I wasn't doing anything, I pulled the carb off.

Here's my specs.

Main Jet 165

Main Air Jet 200

Slow Jet 52.5

Fuel Screws 1.5 turns out

Hope it helps.
If I put mine back together it will be on Alky, then I will be calling AZ for the answers.

Thanks Al. I think that there is a little adjusting to do but not to much, your #'s give me a great place to start thanks again.

If I had to use one word to describe the seat of the pants feel of these carbs........INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These things are flat out awesome, one of the best mods yet. With stock tires on pavement I couldn't keep the front end down in 1st -4th. Ran out of room so I couldn't get into 5th.

AZSand and I are going to try and go out to the river tommorow and run them. Last time I was about 1\2 bike behind him. I'll post the results and let you know what the difference is. I will say this though I think AZ is SCARED

I forgot, the clip on the needle is 4th from the top and my carbs only have one accel. pump.

Also I usually have 160 mains also but was running hot one weekend so upped the mains.

I don't think it helped much so I would say 160 main for me too.

I havn't had the chance to tinker with them yet. I just put them on and went. There is a bog on the bottom end, I don't know if I'm rich or it's because I'm not running an accel pump. But so far so good, they rock and there not even tuned yet

KMDuner,

Try moving the needle clip one step down from the top..
This will take alot of the bog out of the bottom.
I found that on the dyno (with an air/fuel mixture graph)that the 39's seem to run rich on the bottom and lean on the top.

glamisds650 has his set up pretty close to what I found works good for my 703
