new 45 carb. help

Default new 45 carb. help

throttle is very stiff and it is bogging on take off. what can i do?

Ron Wood makes a lighter throttle return spring for the 45. You are not suppose the use the accel pump when you use this spring. It really helps on the thumb throttle. Most guys are using a pilot jet between a 40 to 45 and a main jet from 150 to 160 with any where from 1 1/4 to 2 turns out on the air screw.

try using the stock cable, the bog is not there at 160, no pump, other than that they sell those little hand springs that you can use to work out while you drive in the car
