Now on the day i was returning from camping up in my grandpa's ranch, We passes by a ds650 and it was worth $6 grand, and it was a year used. It looked in good shape and my dad thought of buying it but we werent too sure, now i have never ridden or know anybody that rides bombardiers. If you have can you give me and opionion? Would I be chiped off if i bought it?

Personally I would take that 6 grand and buy a new one. If i'm not mistaken, the MSRP on a new DS is $6599 and $7199 on the Baja. I just bought mine on Saturday, and talked em down to $6800. So if you could talk your dealer down just a bit, you could have a brand new DS for the price of that used one.
As far as an opinion on the DS, well lets just say that I ONCE was also a skeptic. The width and weight were a REAL big concern for me. However, 5 minutes on the trail and I was convinced other wise. It will take just a little getting used to, but once you do, it is like driving a rocket powered LA-Z-BOY.

I've seen used DS's going for as low as $3500. That's a great deal for a bike only three years old at the most. These are really durable bikes and most of the little wear items you want to replace anyway. Save alot of money and have more to spend on hop up parts. New plastic is probably cheaper than for any other quad!

I bought my ds for 5800.00 out the door in 2001 and my sister in law bought her 2003 ds for 6000.00 out the door. It just depends on the area you live in. My husbands cousins in California say they are going for close to 7000.00 and that's not the baja.

Berts had 03' DS BAJA's for "gasp" 5999.00 plus all the BS add ons like tax frieght ans so on. Anyways you can get out of most of the extra prices if you have decent credit and are serious enough. My dad just picked up a Z400 for 4800.00 including tax at Berts. But if its parts you want then avoid the place like a well used hooker.

Hey guys! First post here! I've been pretty heavy into quads since I was knee high to a grasshopper, but I haven't ever owned my own. Never really had the money, considering car and truck payments are pretty tough on a high schooler, but now all that junk is paid off so I've got some money to blow. Kinda got out of the ATV scene a couple years ago after getting a little too bunged up, but I can't resist anymore.
ANYWAYS... I found a Baja for sale on Cycle Trader for $4500, an '02. I'm not really ready to buy a quad, much less this expensive- I was gonna wait until summer and try and pick up a cheaper DS. But is this a good enough price to warrant getting ahold of the bike and then reselling it?
