I always laugh at the people that say the ds is too wide for the trails. Their usually the same people that bought the +2 a-arms for their quad. I suppose the lack of reverse can be a problem for some. I usually just plan ahead and never get myself into a situation that warrants a reverse.

I weight 160 And race mx with mine, yesterdays race I smoked every one in my class all three motos! Including built 250r, 400ex, and the baddest crf450 you will ever see. plus it was a super cross style track! so don't ever let any one tell you there to heavy and don't corner well!

 

i mostly ride trails and pits and i love my ds it isn't to wide for my taste...

 

sounds good ...how do you guys like your alba exausts I would get the supertrap style to be a little more quiet. How do they sound and hows the power?

 

i've had mine since it came out and i still love it..

 

The team alba pipe has a super trapp silencer. I had troubles with mine at first (Finish was coming off) but alba took care of me and sent a new pipe for free.
The power is great I think. With the stuff i have on my ds right now when i am in 5th gear pinned it hits the rev limiter!!

i have an 01 ds, my bro has a predator, and my friends have a z400, 400ex, and a raptor. The predator out handles everything on the track, but it is supposed to, i can keep close though, as far as all out speed the ds is faster, on the trails nothing is more comfortable than the ds to ride. as far as the predator goes....it handles nicely, has terrible bottom end, surprisingly; good top end, and for me i did not feel it was very comfortable to ride, it was an awkward feel....my opinion go with the ds
