Default New Elkas!!!

Ok guys, after weighing all the facts and opinions I have decided to order Elka suspension for my Ds 650 Baja. I ordered the Quad Rate zero preload type with piggy backs in the front and Dual Rate zero preload with remote rezzie in the rear. Seems that most people in here ride in the sand and desert so they can reap the benefits of those tall long traveling shocks, but im trying the Mx thing out and the Elkas seemed to fit me better. Anyway they said it would be about 3 or 4 weeks before the shocks get here so I will keep you guys posted and put some pics up when they are installed. I have almost the identical setup as you do.
I got mine about a month and a half ago and im am EXTREMELY happy with them. You made a great decision.
I caution you though to tie up the steel braided line as high as you can to avoid it from hitting the chain on a hard landing
I learned the hard way....

my 2 cents...

Hey Canadian do you run aftermarket arms or stock? I have TBR and love em so far. I figured with the +1 wider and +1 forward stance I would really benefit from the zero preloads.

Hey Rob, I was just thinking. If you could, or would, measure from the ground to the lower front a-arm mounting tab on the front of the bike and let me know how high it sits. The guy i spoke to at Elka said that my ride height would be lowered with the Zero Preload shock but couldnt tell me how much. Go figure. Just trying to get an idea of how low the quad will actually be. Thanks for the help man. \
