Not sure about MPG, but I can go from wash 10 to OLD's hill, surf from OLD's to Comp, surf from comp back to OLD's, over to the wall, back to wash 10, over to Boardmanville and back to camp and still have about 3/4 - 1 gallon left. That's about 4 hours of hard surfing (3rd, 4th & 5th gear WOT). 5-6 hours if we have to wait for the R's & B's.
A friend and I rode 35 miles down the beach in Mexico. On the way back we got within 1 mile of camp and both had to go to reserve. He had his better half (wife) riding double with him and I was solo. 70 miles round trip, moderate 4th & 5th gear 1/2 throttle = 20+ MPG????
I hope this helps................

KFX 700 3.2 US gallons
DS 650 3.5 US gallons
How much of these are reserve? I'm guessing 20% ?
Most KFX 700's hit reserve in 1.75 hours of riding.
Most DS 650's hit reserve in 5hours of riding.
With the little bit of difference in gas tank size. The DS 650 is still lot better on gas.
as good as 14 mpg on a KFX 700.
as good as 24 mpg on a DS 650.

I jus finished a 35 mile dice run (trail ride) that was through the roughest terrain. I was even running way rich for about 10 miles of it. I still had about a 1/3 tank of gas left. This bike seems pretty good on gas.

Hey guys~
My DS has gotten 26 mpg on one tank of gas. Granted, that whole tank was easy cruising on an abandoned railroad going about 35 mph. For comparison to a Raptor, at one fillup, the Raptor took 2.4 gallons and I took 1.3 gallons to cover the same distance. The most I ever rode in one day was about 350 miles! That was up in Clark County, WI where most of the trails are fire lanes and I could keep it above 70 mph about 75% of the time. I don't know any other machine I would want to ride 350 miles in one day besides the DS650.
