And as for you Frank! I only went out with her because you had to much money, and she likes poor un-educated people! Don't worry your secret is safe with me!

Hey Tony- I gotta take my hat off to ya, you truly are one dedicated duner. It seems that every weekend you are in a different part of the country punishing people. Where do you find the time?? Are you sure your gonna make it to LSU this weekend? I will be there.
remember what your momma used to tell you befor she gave little angry a good whippin?
This is gonna hurt me a lot more than it's gonna hurt you!

think about it buddy

and BTW ther's nothing wrong with my bike it's just not as fast as it should be!! but I'm not angry

Any ideas what might be wrong with my carb...DSMIKE...anyone? I doubt that having alcohol ran through it for two years has anything to do with it...maybe the K&N that was used and possibly not cleaned often enough may have allowed enought grit to wear out the slide cavity...or maybe it's the rubber washer under the brass part of the slide face that is shot...I don't have any more time or money for it right now but would like to figure it out. Steve and Mike--I am not insinuating that you sold me a bunk carb...and I did aquire substantial gains by running alcohol Saturday at Glamis...I just have had so many problems getting my bike dialed in right since that weekend (hell, I had problems on that Sunday and you have to remember that I still pretty new at this game so some times I think I just being paranoid--WOT!). I can get it to run half-fast and that ain't cutting it...I've been taking all the advice from members well respected and such...I JUST WANT TO GO FASTER! can ya really blame me for pitching a fit???

How about it Bob...you got any ideas about the MBRP and it's application for dragging? are there issues? am I the only one stirring the pot? You came to my rescue without question when I decided there was a problem with the first MBRP I owned and I still appreciate that...maybe we can find a flaw in this design and maintain integirty in the name MBRP by getting it fixed!

Just me (feeling) out loud,

Jiminok

PS--thanks for the "chin-up" prompts...

Jim,

I'd be willing to bet if you could find a good Harley shop, they could put the hurt down on your Carburetor. I think good Harley shop should have seen everything that could happen to that carb.

It'ed be great if DSMike / Steve could PM jim & see if they can piece together what is up with the carburetor as well. Both DSMike & Steve were great guys to meet etc so I'm sure they could step up with their extreme knowledge & give jim a hand. I can't imagine DSMike & Steve could have built such nice machines without knowing a thing or two about engines etc.

Jiminok I'm thinking of putting my 727 on alky, tell me is it worth the headaches
what are the pro's and con's? How do you maintain the carbs, and finally how does it
respond towards weather changes.

I do most of my riding at Dumont.

Alcohol has a stong tendancy to attract condensation (water) so you shouldn't put your bike up after the weekend with it still in the carb...Biggerisbetter told me that if I run the stuff, when the weekends over, pull the fuel line and stick it in a coke can with gasoline in it and let the carb cycle till you start blowing soot from running so rich--it'll happen once the gas reaches the cylinder. Other than that I don't know...what the shelf life of alky is or anything else as I never commited to running it full time. I ran alky for a day during FSW weekend...good question...anyone in the know please fill in the blanks.

Jim

Hey Curtis I feel bad for you, that your bileke isn't running well. So I decided to cancel this weekends trip in order for you to get your rig dialed in. But are we still on for the weekend of the 17th? THat is if we are still alive!
