John, I did not make that up, that is what I was told by the dealer's. The idea was that petroleum product's were both expensive and not as readily available as here in the state's. So they used the by product's from the fishing industry to make oil for export's. Keeping the rare oil in their country.

You sure were right. I changed the engine oil it didn't look to bad. Now the gear oil it looked like black mud. It was real sticky. I'm sure glad I changed it now instead of letting it break down 6mo. from now. Thanks!!!

P.S.
Make sure you take the rear guard off. It sure does make it alot easier to get to the drain plug.

My nickname is mywifesquad, because it was my wifes quad (a yamoto 150) that led me here.

That motor oil might have looked good but who know's. It is too cheap not to change it. I loved that fram comercial "you can pay me now , or you can pay me later".

where did you get the 82.5 jet did you have to do any other carb mods (change needle height)
this would be good with a k/n filtler pod instead of air in thru the nose wouldnt it ?

I just picked it up at my local cycle shop. They had to order it of course.
Just make sure that you bring a sample in with you. That was the only
carb mod that I made.

Has anyone ever looked at modifing the clutch on the Yamoto? It seems a little sluggish on take off.

Volfan:
I have had a few people complain about the same thing with the Yamoto 70 ATV. 1st I think you should take the restricter plate out of the air box. Then I think you should jet the carb, and also get the valves adjust and I then think you will be very happy with the bike!
All The best.
