Yamoto 110 - Do any prep?
#1
Since this is a Raceway ATV forum, I was wondering if I order a Yamoto 110 from Raceway, do they do any preparation / checkout / breakin of the vehicle prior to sending it to me? Or has it been the case where they basically "grab the box from the shelf" and ship it to you unopened and leave you to deal with any glitches? What's the "value added" from buying a Yamoto from Raceway vs. somewhere else on the Internet or local (if possible)? I only ask this because I've searched this forum and found a lot of glitches with the Yamoto 110, leaving me less than thrilled with it's low(er) price (maybe there's a reason it's cheaper).
Thanks in advance,
John

As for preperation Raceway does not touch the atv's sent to you. They come from a warehouse in Louisiana. When you get the atv all you have to do is assemble the wheels, nerf bars, and tighten the handle bars, install battery, go over all the major nuts and bolts, fuel and then start. You pretty much do what most local dealerships do. It really is not much to do and very easy for just about anyone that can turn a wrench. I can tell you that John at Raceway will take care of you in any way possible. He can guide you through any installation problems.
For the most part the Yamoto 110 has been trouble free. The 150's had alot of problems with the carbs and electronic chokes. Yes they are cheap atv's but once you get one you will see that the quality is still there. They are built very strong and the motor has been proven reliable. The biggest complaint is the suspension. The suspension is very stiff but if you have felt any other kids atv's it is not much worse. They do soften up with time. Kids dont even care at such a young age. Once they begin to ride really good then you can upgrade the shocks to softer ones. I just cant see spending $2500 on an atv for a child that has never had one and is going to outgrow it in a few years. You wont get near the money back with the more expensive ones when you sell it but most likely you will get most of your money back with the cheaper ones.

Raceway, do you have a replacement shock Idea for the Yamoto 110cc. Front and back. I flipped the front tires and it seemed a little better, but I would still like to soften it up. But the rear with the shock straight up and down, it's really stiff. Is there a softer spring I could use?? Any help woul be great!!
Thanks
Thanks
