In my opinion....there should be some play in the chain when the tensioners are pushed away from the chain. you don't want the chain taut when the bottom and top tensioner are squeezed toward each other and not in contact with the chain. If you can move the chain 3/4 of an inch upward when the tension is removed by squeezing the tensioners toward each other....it's probably ok. If the chain is too tight, It looks to me that it may rub on the plastic covering the swing arm frame behind the front sprocket teeth. My chain actually has a little "hill" in it where the tensioner is holding it up a little - hence acting as a "tensioner" so the chain doesn't have to be tense on its own. I recommend some lube on/in the center of tensioner gears where they rotate/spin - this is how i think it should be
