Kazuma 110 noise by shifter
#1
Seems like a raspy noise coming from the foot shifter area and while changing gears. Any thoughts, suggestions, test a capable novice could check to find the problem. It will shift and it seems to run alright. Is it the gear box? Is there something to tighten in it?

Update.... I think it is the clutch because when I apply pressure to the shifter I really hear the raspy noise. Anyone know? Can I access the clutch without removing the engine? Does anyone know how long the warranty is? I bought last January from Raceway. John, any feedback?

I also bought from John in January, but I think now that you are our of warranty, but I suggest calling John anyway. You can get the clutch assembly for the 100 falcon all in one piece. In other words, you do not have to disassemble the clutch to fix a part, it comes as one unit. Slide the old one out, slide the new one in.

The noise is coming from the chain rubbing on the chain guard. take the side guard off and you will see the marks. Ride it with out the guard and the noise will go away.
Solution, cut out a small section in the bottom part of the guard where it is rubbing
