Default Kazuma 110 prob keeping running

My son's Falcon 110 just got here today! Looks great and got it running! But I can't keep it running! It starts and then it shuts off! Then you have to wait awile to start it again! You can ride it for a little wile but when you slow down to turn or stop it shuts off again! We have turned the idle up and it sounds like it is running better wile it sits and run, till you stop or slow down! Then it stops again!

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Did you read and go through all the steps to get it to run right. Change the oil, carb adjustments, let it run at idle for about 45min for the gel to dissolve etc...

We got two of the 110's for Christmas, and one of them had what sounds to be the same problem. I found that it was because the fuel tank wasn't venting. The vent tube that comes off the top of the gas cap is shoved into a hole in the steering tube. On one of the 110's, the steering tube is airtight, and that coupled with the seal around the vent hose when shoved into the hole would not allow air into the tank to displace the gas that was being used. The next time you are having the trouble. pull the vent hose off the gas cap and see if the problem goes away.

This is a good kids quad. I have two of them so don't fret. In case you don't know, there is a black choke lever on the right side of the engine. Down the choke is closed, up the choke is open.

These carbs are shipped with a "gel" inside of them to protect the carbs during shipping. Brand new, these bikes have to be started and left to idle for a while to burn off these gel.

Open your owners manual. Turn to page 18 and read about adjusting your carb. I would then open your choke and start your bike and let it idle. Close the choke when needed. I would let it idle for a good 15 minutes minimum. Then close your mixture screw completely then open it out 2 complete turns, then you can adjust your idle screw. I seriously think this was probably your problem, you started and drove it before the gel was burned off. It happens on this site all the time.

Also, your air filter is shipped dry. The manual does not cover this, but your foam filter needs to be oiled. Go to a bike shop and buy some filter oil and oil your filter. Your engine will last longer and your bike will run better.

The manual tells you to change the oil right away. I don't do this yet with mine. I find that this Chinese oil is thin and a good break in oil. So I let my kids drive their new quads gently, braking in, for several hours, then I completely change the oil. I use Penzol 20/50. Other riders prefer other oils.

Also you will find that when your kids open this quad up, full throttle, it will at times make a strange screaming noise and then slow down. Just have your kids shift down and start going again, the bike will ride fine. I am not sure what this "noise" is, but other owners have brought this up on this site. No one has an answer, except that the noise does stop and go away. My son's Falcon 100 MK11 tops out at 40 mph.

If yours is a Kazuma 110cc Falcon MKll with dual A-Arms, check your front end A-Arms. They are supposed to have pins through the top and bottom A-Arms where they connect to the wheel. This was a factory safety issue notice that American dealers are not telling the public about. Without the pins, the A-Arm bolt will work its' way out and your child could loose control. This happened to my son's, but he did not crash. Now the A-Arms are pinned properly and the bike is running great. Enjoy!!!
