Default Boreem BMS 150 Solenoid Trouble

I am looking for some help with a Boreem BMS 150 ATV that I purchased not from Raceway but another merchant. I have had very little help from them, but that is a long story. I rode this thing once and when we got home it wouldn't start again, the solenoid went bad and burned up. We just received the new one today, thought it would be a cinch to put back on, no such luck. It came with a different connector than the original. And I am not sure which post the positive and negative wires go to. I have an idea, but not positive. I had to cut off the connectors to splice the new wires to the old ones, but still not turning over using the button for electric start. I can get the ATV to start by hotwiring it but that is it. Any ideas? The wires that are on the bike are yellow with red stripe and solid green, the ones on the new solenoid are red with white stripe and solid black. I just want to get this thing running again, and end the nightmare I have had since I bought it. Any help would be appreciated. Any pictures or ideas are great too. Thanks.

Default Boreem BMS 150 Solenoid Trouble

After working some more on this thing we got it running. Had to get some new connectors, connecting solid black to solid green, and red with white stripe to yellow with red stripe. Connected the hot wire and ground. We still were not getting any power, so checked the in line fuse at the battery, and sure enough it was burned out. Replaced that and lights came on and it cranked right over. The solenoid had been bad but messing with it hot wiring it etc. must have blown the fuse. I black taped all the connections that I had to make. Any ideas on keeping the water from burning up the solenoid again, or are these not meant for mud? Thought about trying to rig up some type of plastic or rubber shield for in front of where the solenoid sets, but not sure that will help. Any suggestions is appreciated. Thank you Raceway for offering to help. I may need it someday.
