#3
my son was riding he hit something with the brakes on,not fast at all. brake pad fell out. put it back in and bled brakes, fell out again. this time could not find pad. pad does not feel secure in caliper. does the clip tuck up in caliper, compress it in and it snaps in, then lay pad in. my axle double nutss on inside of axle are backing off also. i guess i will loctite blue them. there is also extrerme vibration when it speeds up. i guess you get what you pay for $600.

Bought an SUNL 90 for my son's 6th birthday. Easy to put together but the brakes don't work and the key ignition does not work. The elecetric connection was broke (under the brake reservoir ) I'm guessing that's the connection to use the push botton starter. However; the remote ignition starts the engine. I tried to bleed the brakes but that did not work. The brake cylinder won't push the fluid through the hose. I checked the hoses and they are clear. I pulled the hose off right at the brake reservoir and when I pull the brake lever no brake fluid comes out. Thus, the obvious conclusion the cylinder mechanism was not working at shipment. Please contact me to tell me how I can get these two items fixed.

ATVFamily you are correct the 2 wires right under the brake handle are for the safety brake switch. If they are not plugged in the unit will not start from the handle bars (only the remote) This and the master cylinder is not a problem if you have bought the unit from us. We would be able to get the parts right out to you. It is best to give us a call 1st thing Monday and we will work it all out!

I bought a sunl 70 for my youngest daugter for Christmas. I then bought a baby falcon 110 around the 1st of January for my other daughter- both from raceway. The 110 has performed nearly flawlessly except that the chain tensioner has almost no adjustment left - have tightened twice - maybe one more time before the chain will have to be shortened.
The sunl however is starting to show problems after four months. Today, my daughter drove up to me, ran into the side of the house and announced that her brakes had quit working a few minutes earlier. I looked and noticed that the pad over the piston was gone - we've been unable to locate it. There is also a fair amount of play in the rear end and a grinding noise - it appears that the bearings are bad.
Other than that, she's had a lot of fun with it. She rides it alot. Until now, its worked pretty good. I did have to fiddle with the carb a lot before the weather got warm. Also, the blue artic camo paint has generally faded/yellowed and cracked/chipped in many places. Still looks okay, though.
After reading some recent threads, I've begun to worry that the frame will break.

Well, I found the pad. Does anything hold it in, or is it just the piston?
There is a very small amount of friction material left on the pads - maybe a few days worth at most. I cant believe they wore out that quick. Is this brake system a clone like the engine such that better pads are available?
I dont think the play I felt in the rear end was the bearings, I now think it was just the slack in the chain.

sad to hear that the pads have nothing holding them in. i better take a look at this before one of my kids lose the brakes and crash.as for the rear bearing problem your having.when my kids first rode it down the rode the thing gave out this unbeleivable squealing.upon inspection i found that the rear axle housing to be bone dry.i used marine grade wheel bearing grease and packed the snot out of it.no more squealing and i know if i hadnt done this the bearings wouldnt have lasted more than a few hours.good tip that ill add to the review i did on the mini 90 on this board.
