Default Questions about Dingo 150

Ok, I've got a Falcon for my daughter. It's perfect for her. Now I need one. I'm not very big, 5'-7" 150 pounds, and am purty comfortable riding the Falcon. But I'd like a utility style and just slightly bigger than the Falcon. Top speed is not too big an issue as long as I can get close to 30 mph. But I am a little concerned (from some other posts I've read) about climbing hills. I live in the Ozarks and I need my quad to be able to pull me plus 100-200 lbs up a hill. I'm not talkin about a 65 degree rocky suicide hill. Here where I am there are rolling hills and trails. I want to use the Dingo for general trail riding and hunting. Is it up to the task?

Also, I would sure like to hear that it rides just a little smoother than the Falcon.

Also, in regards to the Falcon 110. Are there wheel spacers (to widen the footprint) available?

Thanks in advance

Default Questions about Dingo 150

we owned our 04 dingo's now for 2 years, i couldn't be happier with them, mine is used on a daily bases usally towing a wagon or garden dump trailer, very reliible, the real only problem i've had is a flat tire, i ran over a piece of steel spike 6"long 1"wide and 1/4 thick about 3 weeks ago, i just put a inside patch , as far as towing , it tows good on flat ground, but not good,in fact really bad up a hill, depending on how steep, it has problems just making it up by itself, i've tried pulling a dr road grader with it without success, as much as i like my 2 dingo's i think you'd be better off buying a atv with a bigger engine, the kazuma 250 dingo might fit the bill but is appox $800-900 more and the first thing you'd need to do is change the roller weights in the variator, which is easy and cost around 20-30 dollars, without this the 250 has no bottom end performance or hill climbing ability, but once the rollers are changed it's great, i have the same 250 engine in my mini buggy and owned it for 1 1/2 years now without any problem and made a tow hitch to beable to use the road grader, the 250 pulls the grader with 2 people in the buggy without any problem also can climb any hill no matter how steep as long as their's traction. the 150's top speed around 31-33 mph, the 250 top speed not much more if any around 32-33mph, parts are easily obtainable on both engines the 150 uses the honda gy6 and the 250 uses honda cn250, hope this answers some of your questions on the dingo.. yes wheel spacers are availabe for the falcon 110, raceway has them and you can buy them off of e-bay.

Thanks for the reply. The hill climbing problem is disapointing. The 250 sounds nice, but I've budgeted myself at 1500 max. I'm determined not to exceed that. I'm thinking maybe just another Falcon 110 will have to do. It looks like it would be easy enough to make a couple of bolt on racks to carry stuff on it (at least a small cooler and fishing poles). It's really got good low end torque so I believe it would haul a Whitetail out of the woods with no problem. Man, I wish they had put a three speed transmition on the Dingo!

i wouldn't waste my money on a falcon 110 if you're looking to haul stuff , you should buy the dingo 150 and change the roller weights from stock 14grs to 9grs and that will make the dingo climb and pull 100% better, cost for the weights is around $15-20. takes about 30 minutes to install, or if you don't want to install them yourself a dealer should charge less than $100.

They go inside of the front pulley on a CVT drive system.

here's a couple of sites, first the dingo uses the honda gy6 engine, oregonvintage.com, miamimoto.com, awesomebuggies.com, indycycleranch.com. also if you need more information on the cvt transmission you can find that at buggynews.com
