2007 Jetmoto 250cc Sports are in!

windtrader, the swing arm you are refering to is the 150's arm (I have two of them also) They are not the same swing arm as the 250's and the 200's. They are built quite different and I have not heard anything about them using this swing arm for the bigger quads!
I do think the Washer Idea would work, it's is at the thin 1/4 eyelet that breaks so any way to reinforce this area will do the trick as long as it is welded nicly to the brackets!
Ya know had Jet simply just told the Manufactor early on to double up on that Bracket on both sides or use a thicker metal there I believe this problem would have been solved.

Right. As far as I know the 150,200, and 250 now share the same frame. The 150 and 200 are basically identical except that the 150 frame has a couple tubes cut around to make room for the transmission. All the main dimensions are the same; I measured them. The Jetmoto catalog shows the same swing arm for the 200 and 250 which seems true as the one you show for the 250 is the same as the one on my 200.
200-250 swing arm
Unless I am missing something the swing arm on the newest 150 frame is going to be the one used on the new 200 and 250.
One thing I did notice is in your pictures is the 150 is much lower than the 250. My 150 and 200 are the same physical dimensions. Maybe they made this change on the 150 since mine came from a later batch than yours. A quick call to them would clear this up.
Either way, my 150 swing arm is very stout and I'm only going to mod the 200 swing arm to avoid the problems discussed here.
thx

The 150 has the different swing arm (not sure what the measurement differences are between the two arms but the 200 and 250's all come with the swing arm that has now had two breaks (documented on here at least). The 200 uses the same frame and swing arm as the 250 (and now the motor with 50 less cc's). But the 200 runs the same smaller tires and wheels as the 150 and that is where you are seeing the same height with your two quads. I do really like the Slasher hole shot tires of the 250 over the 150 and 200. Looks as if the 200 also shares the same suspension as the 250!?

After all this time you would think someone in the know would have spoke up about the claims of a new redesigned swing arm was never made a reality. I had been touting it since you had made the claims so now it makes me look as a lier also. Little disappointed with the way this was handled!</end quote></div>
I am sorry for misleading you outofline. I thought a change had been made and was very obviously wrong about it.

I have been noticing this the last month or so, my Blue quads are turning Purple! I have not noticed any big change in the red perhaps not as bright as they once were but I am not to happy with the blue! I have not left these out in the sun for long at all, they have only seen the sun for maybe 30 or so days in 6 months. I have a tarp that has always been on them when they have not been ridden that stated on the package it was UV proof/rated!? I bought it at Walmart and has a Silver side and Blue side. Other then a thicker cover or garaging them I don't know what else I could have done to protect them. But I have would not have expected the color to change as it has! In this pic of my 250 you can see where the Jetmoto sticker use to be that fell off a couple months back!

Not your fault MWQ,
just wish someone had spoke up!</end quote></div>
I still feel pretty stupid about it.
I wouldn't have minded that either.

The same thing happened to the plastic on my '04 Yamoto. It was never in the sun unless it was being ridden. Its one of the reasons I got a red 250.

Based on the fade pattern in the picture, it is almost certainly UV damage. I'm going to grab my bottle 303 and start treating the plastic to stop this from happening -- hopefully.
Not real cheap but seems to work.
