Last weekend I bought a used 8x12 trailer for $600. I think this should do nicely for the three quads! Now I just need the quads and warmer weather!

Hey Jay,
I got the prototype of the 250 that was the air cooled version. What changes did Eugene change from our prototypes to the final version released this year????

Longer travel front suspension with more damping and stiffer springs. A stiffer spring and more damping for the rear shock. Different tires/wheels. The front sprocket could be 2 teeth smaller and the head pipe muffler will be bigger. And they will all be oil cooled too. Testing showed the oil cooled engine ran 50 -70 degrees cooler than the air cooled version.

i will check my old emails to Eugene to see what other changes i suggested.

What size sproket was on the prototypes origionally???
My opinion of the air cooled version are the rear shocks need to be a bit stiffer. The powerband is great for the hilly enviroment here in Washington.

There was a 39 on the rear like the 200 and a 17 on the front. The 200 has a 14 tooth on the front.

both the front and rear shocks got stiffer springs and compression and rebound damping. The one i rode was sort of like a pogo stick.

What would the benefits be to upgrading the sprokets to the current 2007 vs the prototype model change for proformance??
Is there a way to add an oil cooler like they sell on there website???

You would be able to use 4th gear more, and you would increase acceleration considerably. The prototype I rode could barely pull 4th gear on flat ground. I am going ot be trying a 14 and a 15 on mine. I would guess the 15 would work best, but with the larger rear tires than the 200 a 14 might work too. I am not sure about the oil cooler but I will ask and let you know by monday.

Hey Daytz50,

Mine did not come with a rear sprocket and brake protector, and the indicator light holder for 'N' and 'R' (plastic piece on the handle bars) was the same as the last year model for the 200's. The new one looks alot better and is black and looks to be more sturdy. Also the motor and frame are a darker gray versus the lighter gray like the year before (which I have) I like the darker gray version ALOT better. My shocks are very mushy too. But I like it, it rides a hell of alot better than my 200 does. I also have the oil cooler on mine. I've noticed my 200 runs alot hotter. Anyway how does yours run, ya like it !!??
I will do that with the smaller sprocket on front just a matter of when.. It was pretty funny my buddy has a Redcat VX 150 and a couple of weeks ago when we were out riding on the trails he asked if he could ride.. So he did and he came back and was so mad. I said what's up. He wants a 250 sport so bad!! He said now that's a quad !! I rode his Redcat around a little bit. It was like riding a battery operated toy.. Not even close to the same league not even minor league. More like a middle school team!! So he's saving his money to get one.
Anyway Daytz50, I hope you like yours. How many hours do you have on it so far?? And do you still have the same spark plug it came with in it??
