Default BMS 150 Manual

Good day everyone...

Well, after this Christmas it looks like we're a Kart and ATV family!!! We've been into racing karts for a couple of years and my 12 year old now is the proud owner of a BMS 150 Quad.

O.k. enough of the particulars, my reason for posting is I wrench everything he rides. I have already had to redo what the local So-Cal distributor in Fullerton screwed up. The place I bought it from (in Hesperia) will only do basic oil changes etc... and anything bigger than that goes on the trailer to Fullerton for a price.

I've never been keen on anyone working on the things we ride or drive, and this is no exception. The only problem is there is absolutely no documentation for maintaining this thing available. That sucks. I've tried to use the philosophy of a few threads here of trying to equate it to a Honda, Yamaha etc.. and just use there schedules and manuals, but I am not comfortable with that.

So my question is, where the heck do I buy a manual for this thing that will spec valve clearances, clutch adjustments, chain tension, drive belt adjustment etc...?

I'm almost to the point of thinking I made a mistake because I'm held hostage to give the shop $35 every time I show up at their door, and be without a quad for who knows how long...

If I can't find sufficient information to adequately maintain this thing, I might just take it back and if they don't give me my money, I'll sue 'em for monopolizing my son's safety and stealing my money!!! LOL!!!

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

As an aside, I am 6ft #255 and would like a suggestion (250cc, 400cc etc..) for a bike that will carry my lard butt around (been looking at the JetMoto 250cc).

Thanks and see you in the dirt soon.....

Dan...

Thank you very much!!! This is exactly what I need. If I can't fix it now, it's really broke!!

I see you're in california, So-Cal? We're up in Hesperia.

Have you been up to this neck of the woods riding?

Take care and thanks again....

dkiewicz,

We aren't too far away from your area. I live in Ventura County.

Normally we ride at Gorman and the Santa Barbara trails.

We recently started riding at El Mirage and really like it there. It takes us just under 2 hours to get there.

I hope the manual helps. Good Luck!

Did you buy the newest version of the BMS? It has the upgraded swing arm. If so, how do you like the quad?

Take care,

SB
