Curious as to why they geared it so high in the first place? Simply going after the "high" speeds they advertised?
I called Raceway this morning, and my 15 tooth sprocket is on it's way. Will I have to remove a link or two from the chain going to a smaller sprocket?
The 250 is a blast to ride the way it is, can't wait to get the new sprocket. BTW, I found out the stop switch on the handlebars will ground out after I washed it today. I took off and it died, but after looking at the wire connections under the tank I blew into the switch and she fired right off. No more problems.

I did not have to remove any links, but it did almost max out my adjustment so I may need to remove one when my chain stretches out.
I washed both of mine the other day and they had not problems. I do need to wire tie off that wire harness boot under the tank, I think that could be a problem in the future!

I did not notice it out riding but I had felt I would like the handle bars to be kind of bent forward. They seem to put your wrists at a bad angle. Probably not an issue for a smaller person but for me and my broad shoulders it's a bit narrow. Do you think the handle bars could take being bent forward an inch or so on each side?
Did your shock mount brake at the top or bottom?

My shock mount broke out at the hole on the swingarm. Its where the linkage moumts to the swingarm.
